Description:

Dubalex Tablet is a medicine used as an oral contraceptive pill. It helps to prevent pregnancy as it does not allow implantation of the fertilized ovum to the womb (uterus).

In higher doses, Dubalex Tablet is also used to control abnormal vaginal bleeding in women who have not attained menopause (end of the monthly menstrual period). This medicine is only taken once a week, either with or without food. The dose and how often you take it depends on what you are taking it for. Your doctor is the right person to decide the exact dose, hence follow your doctor's advice.

It is a non-hormonal medicine with very minimal side effects but in some cases, it may cause irregularity in your menstrual cycle. If this bothers you or appears serious, let your doctor know. There may be ways of reducing or preventing this. Earlier taking this medicine let your doctor know about all other medicines you are taking as many of these may make this medicine less effective or change the way it works.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Dubalex Tablet may be taken with or without food.Dubalex Tablet is a birth control pill. It acts by preventing the implantation of the fertilized ovum to the womb (uterus).

Warning & Precautions:

Available human data suggest that the drug does not pass into breast milk in clinically significant amounts and is unlikely to harm the infant.

Dubalex Tablet contains a non-hormonal medicine, i.e. Centchroman/Ormeloxifene. It is used as an oral contraceptive medicine. It may also be used in the treatment of uterine bleeding.

How and in what dose should I take Dubalex Tablet?

You should take Dubalex Tablet, as advised by your doctor. However, for contraception, you are required to take two tablets a week for the first 12 weeks ( for e.g. on Sunday and Wednesday), and then one tablet a week. It is also advisable to use condom, in addition to taking Dubalex Tablet, for the period of the first 8 weeks of use.

I am breastfeeding my baby. Is Dubalex Tablet safe for me?

If I become pregnant while on Dubalex Tablet, will my fetus be harmed?

Such a situation is called method failure where contraception fails to prevent pregnancy. In case you conceive even after taking Dubalex Tablet, there is nothing to worry about. This medicine does not cause abnormalities in the fetus and the baby has normal growth and development. However, stop taking this medicine as soon as you get to know about your pregnancy.

What if I miss my pill?
