Description:

Dolomed MR Tablet is a combination medicine used in the treatment of pain due to muscle spasm. It improves the movement of muscles and provides relief from pain and discomfort associated with muscle spasms.

Dolomed MR Tablet may be prescribed alone or in combination with another medicine. It should be taken with food. This will prevent you from getting an upset stomach. You should take it strictly as advised by your doctor. Do not take more or use it for longer duration than recommended by your doctor.

Using this medicine may cause common side effects such as nausea, indigestion, stomach pain, weakness, dizziness, and sleepiness. If you experienced any such side effects that do not resolve with time or get worse, you should let your doctor know. Your doctor may help with ways to reduce or prevent them.

The medicine may not be suitable for everybody. Earlier taking it, let your doctor know if you have any medical conditions or disorders. Let your doctor also know all the other medicines you are taking. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should consult their doctors first before using the medicine.

Affirmative, the use of Dolomed MR Tablet can cause nausea and vomiting. Taking it with milk, food or with antacids can prevent nausea. Avoid taking fatty or fried foods along with this medication. The use of Dolomed MR Tablet is considered to be harmful for patients with known allergy to painkiller (NSAIDS) or any of the components or excipients of this medicine. The use of this medicine should preferably be avoided in patients with a history of stomach ulcer or in patients with active or recurrent stomach ulcer / bleeding. It should also be avoided in patients with history of heart failure, high blood pressure, and liver or kidney disease.

Can the Dolomed MR Tablet be used with Vitamin B-complex?

Affirmative, Dolomed MR Tablet can be taken with Vitamin B-complex preparations. While Dolomed MR Tablet helps to relieve pain, Vitamin B-complex can help to correct the vitamin deficiency that might be causing your symptoms.

Can Dolomed MR Tablet cause addiction?

No, there is no report of any patient getting addicted to Dolomed MR Tablet.

Can the use of Dolomed MR Tablet cause damage to kidneys?

Affirmative, the long-term use of Dolomed MR Tablet can cause damage to the kidneys. Normal kidneys produce a chemical called prostaglandins that protects them from damage. Employ of painkillers lowers the levels of prostaglandins in the body leading to kidney damage on long-term use. Employ of painkillers is not recommended to patients with underlying kidney disease.
