Description:

Volibris Tablet is a prescription medicine used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (high pressure in the blood vessels that carry blood from the heart to the lungs). It even helps to improve your quality of life, exercising ability and delay in disease progression.

Volibris Tablet may be taken with or without food but, it is better to take it in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. In case, you have missed any dose than it is better to take another one as soon as you remember it.

The most common side effects of this medicine are peripheral edema, nasal congestion, sinusitis, and flushing. Let your doctor know if any of these side effects bothers you or persists for a longer duration. Dizziness may also occur in some people, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus if you experience such symptom.


Earlier receiving the treatment, inform your doctor if you are on any medication for any other health condition. Tolerants with liver or kidney disease must be cautious while receiving the prescription, and they must receive regular follow-ups as per the doctor’s advice.

Directions For Use:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Volibris Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Side Effects:

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Driving
CAUTION

Limited information is available on use of Volibris Tablet in these patients. No dose adjustment is recommended in patients with mild to moderate kidney disease.

Affirmative, Volibris Tablet commonly causes an increase in liver enzymes. It may rarely cause liver injury and inflammation of the liver because of the body’s own defences (autoimmune hepatitis). Consult your doctor if you have nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, dark-colored urine and yellowing of the skin.

How should Volibris Tablet be taken?

Usually, the doctors advise to take one dose of Volibris Tablet. You can take it with or without food but prefer taking it at the same time each day. Swallow it whole with a glass of water. Do not crush, chew or break it into pieces.

Can I stop taking Volibris Tablet on my own?

What are the serious side effects of Volibris Tablet?

The serious side effects of Volibris Tablet are swelling all over the body (fluid retention), decreased sperm count and low red blood cell count (anemia). Tell your doctor if you have any unusual weight gain, tiredness, or trouble breathing.

Why have I been prescribed Volibris Tablet?

Volibris Tablet is used to treat pulmonary hypertension in adults. Pulmonary hypertension is a condition wherein there is increased blood pressure in the pulmonary arteries (blood vessels that carry blood from heart to lungs). Volibris Tablet lowers the blood pressure by relaxing the pulmonary arteries, making it easier for the heart to pump blood through them.

What are the symptoms of overdose of Volibris Tablet?

Taking more than the recommended dose of Volibris Tablet may cause headache, flushing, dizziness, or nausea. It may cause low blood pressure which may further lead to lightheadedness. Contact your doctor immediately or seek emergency medical services in a nearby hospital if you take more than the recommended doses of this medicine.
