Description:

Valmeg 450 Tablet is used to treat cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection of the retina (retinitis) in adult patients with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). It is also used for the prevention of CMV infection in patients who have received an organ transplant from a CMV-infected donor.

Valmeg 450 Tablet should be taken in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. It should be taken with food. You should drink plenty of water while on treatment with this medicine, as it helps prevent dehydration and kidney damage.


Valmeg 450 Tablet may cause a few common side effects like diarrhea, vomiting, anemia, low white blood cells, low platelet levels, insomnia, and vomiting. Inform your doctor if these side effects persist for a longer duration.


Earlier you start Valmeg 450 Tablet, let your doctor know if you have any medical conditions. Let your doctor also know about all the medications you are taking, as some medicines may interact with Valmeg 450 Tablet.
