Description:

Ulciwok Gel is a pain-relieving medicine. It is used to relieve pain, discomfort, and inflammation caused by mouth ulcers. It is also used to treat cold sores, dentures, and sore spots due to orthodontic devices.

Ulciwok Gel is for local application only. Wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying it on the affected area. Please consult your doctor if your symptoms do not get better. It should not be taken by patients who are allergic to it or are less than 16 years of age. It should not be applied to open wounds. Burning sensation and application site reactions might be seen as side effects in some patients.

Check the label for directions before use. Gently apply the gel to the affected area inside your mouth. Refrain from eating or drinking immediately after applying the gel.

How should I use Ulciwok Gel?

This medicine should be used only inside the mouth. Take a small amount of Ulciwok Gel over a cotton swab and apply a uniform, thin layer of Ulciwok Gel over the affected area. Avoid rubbing the area as it may irritate the ulcers.

Is it OK to swallow Ulciwok Gel?

No, you should not swallow Ulciwok Gel. Just apply a thin layer of Ulciwok Gel over the affected area in the mouth with a cotton swab.

How long does it take Ulciwok Gel to work?

You can see an improvement in your ulcers within 7 days. However, your doctor will decide the exact dose and duration of your treatment depending on your condition. Avoid spicy foods, acidic fruit drinks, and very salty foods (such as crisps) which can make the pain and sting worse.

Along with using Ulciwok Gel use a soft toothbrush, avoid eating and drinking immediately after applying this medicine, avoid putting dentures or braces back in the mouth for half an hour after applying the gel in your mouth and stop smoking completely.

There is no definite cause behind mouth ulcers. Some of the factors include biting the inside of your mouth; food sensitivities to acidic foods like strawberries, oranges, pineapples; lack of essential vitamins, especially B-12, zinc, folate, and iron; dental braces; using a toothbrush with hard bristles and certain medications.
