Description:
Tilpazan Solution for Injection is a medicine used alongside a healthy diet and statin therapy to help lower cholesterol levels in adults with heart disease. Cholesterol is a fatty substance that builds up in the blood vessels and causes narrowing. Lowering cholesterol levels reduces the risk of heart attack and stroke.Tilpazan Solution for Injection is administered subcutaneously into the abdomen, upper arm, or thigh. Do not inject in areas of active skin disease or injury, such as sunburns, rashes, inflammation, or skin infections. A doctor or a nurse generally administers it, and it should not be self-administered at home.
It is important to have your cholesterol levels checked regularly. This medicine is only one part of a treatment program, which should also include a healthy diet, regular exercise, smoking cessation, moderation of alcohol intake, and weight reduction. You can eat normally while taking this medicine, but try to avoid foods high in fat.
Ordinary side effects of this medicine include injection site reactions, joint pain, urinary tract infection, diarrhea, bronchitis, pain in extremities, and shortness of breath.
