FAQs:

What is Sarsalic Cream used for, and which skin conditions does it treat?

Sarsalic Cream is used to treat steroid-sensitive skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema, and other hyperkeratotic (thick, scaly) dermatoses. Sarsalic Cream contains beclometasone, which reduces inflammation, and salicylic acid, which helps remove scales.

Who should not use Sarsalic Cream?

Individuals should not use Sarsalic Cream if they are allergic to any of its ingredients, have untreated skin infections, rosacea, acne, or perioral dermatitis. It should not be applied to open wounds.

Can I use Sarsalic Cream on large areas of skin?

Employ Sarsalic Cream on large areas, or for long periods only if directed by your doctor, as it may increase the risk of side effects, including thinning skin, and absorption of the steroid into the bloodstream.

What precautions should I follow while using Sarsalic Cream?

While using Sarsalic Cream, you should avoid covering the treated area with bandages unless told by your doctor. Do not use it for longer than prescribed, and do not stop suddenly. Your doctor may advise you to reduce its use gradually to avoid flare-ups. Retain away from the eyes, and wash your hands after application.

Is Sarsalic Cream safe for children?

Sarsalic Cream should be used with caution in children, and only under medical supervision. Children are more likely to absorb steroids (a medicine component present in Sarsalic Cream) through the skin, which may affect growth and hormone balance.
