If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking the medicine, repeat the dose when your child feels better. However, do not double the dose if it is the time for the next dose.

Tell your child’s doctor if your child has had any previous episodes of allergy, heart problems, blood disorders, birth defects, airway obstruction, lung anomaly, gastrointestinal problem, skin disorder, and kidney malfunction. FAQs:

Are there any possible serious side effects of Lectimox Tablet DT?

Although rare, Lectimox Tablet DT may cause some serious side effects such as persistent vomiting, kidney damage, and allergy. Forever consult your child’s doctor for help in such a situation.

Can other medicines be given at the same time as Lectimox Tablet DT?

Lectimox Tablet DT can sometimes interact with other medicines or substances. Inform your doctor about any other medicines your child is taking before starting Lectimox Tablet DT.

Can I get my child vaccinated while on treatment with Lectimox Tablet DT?

Antibiotics usually do not interfere with the ingredients in vaccines or cause a bad reaction in a child who has just been vaccinated. However, children taking antibiotics should not get vaccinated until they fully recover from the illness. Post recovery from illness, the child can take the vaccine after consulting the doctor.

The mucus coming out of my child’s nose is yellow-green. Is it a sign of a bacterial infection?

In the common cold, the mucus changes its color and thickens up with time, but this does not mean that your child needs antibiotics. Ordinary cold symptoms often last for 7-10 days. In case they fail to clear up within this duration, reach out to your child’s doctor for guidance.

Is Lectimox Tablet DT safe for children suffering from infectious mononucleosis?

No, do not give this medicine to your child in this case as a high percentage of children with infectious mononucleosis develop a skin rash (erythematous rash) while taking Lectimox Tablet DT.
