Description:

GLUra MP 1000 Tablet SR is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes. It controls your blood sugar levels and helps prevent serious complications in the future. Your doctor may prescribe it alone or along with other diabetes medicines.

GLUra MP 1000 Tablet SR may be taken on an empty stomach or with a meal. However, the dose will depend on your condition and blood sugar levels; therefore, use it as advised by your doctor and do not stop taking this medicine unless the doctor recommends otherwise. Also, take it regularly and at the same time each day to get the most benefit. It is also crucial to stay on the diet and exercise program recommended by the doctor while taking this medicine.

The most common side effects of this medicine include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, flatulence, abdominal pain, and constipation. These effects are usually minor and improve with time. Low blood sugar level (hypoglycemia) is a possible side effect if you are also taking other diabetes medicines, so you need to know how to recognize and deal with it. Contact the doctor if the side effects are worrisome or do not go away.

Stop GLUra MP 1000 Tablet SR, and get medical help for signs of lactic acidosis, or a severe allergic reaction (rash, hives, blistering/peeling, swelling of face/lips/tongue, trouble breathing). Your doctor may advise you to pause before major surgery, and during severe dehydration, and follow your doctor’s plan to restart safely.

No. GLUra MP 1000 Tablet SR cannot treat type-1 diabetes. It is used only for type 2 diabetes.
