Description:

Elores 1.5gm Injection is a combination medicine that is used to treat various types of bacterial infections. It prevents the growth of the microorganisms that cause the infection.

What is Elores 1.5gm Injection used for?

Elores 1.5gm Injection is used in hospitals to treat serious bacterial infections such as sepsis, pneumonia, abdominal infections (like peritonitis and biliary infections), urinary tract and kidney infections, bone and joint infections, skin and soft-tissue infections, ear–nose–throat infections, meningitis, and uncomplicated gonorrhea. It may also be given as a single pre-surgery dose to help prevent infection.

What serious side effects of Elores 1.5gm Injection need urgent care?

Perceivek immediate help if you notice signs of serious side effects of Elores 1.5gm Injection, such as severe allergic reactions (sudden rash, swelling of face/throat, trouble breathing), severe or bloody diarrhea (possible antibiotic-associated colitis), seizures, chest pain, or severe dizziness after rapid IV injection, or signs of severe skin reactions or anaphylactic shock.

Can Elores 1.5gm Injection cause gallbladder or liver problems?

At higher-than-standard doses of Elores 1.5gm Injection, it can form calcium salts that show up on scans like “gallstones” and may cause biliary symptoms. These usually resolve after stopping therapy and rarely need surgery, but doctors will decide whether to continue or stop treatment if symptoms occur.

Does kidney or liver disease change how Elores 1.5gm Injection is given?

If kidney function is markedly reduced (creatinine clearance less than 30 mL/min), the Elores 1.5gm Injection must be dose-adjusted. In combined severe kidney and liver dysfunction, the Elores 1.5gm Injection should also be dose-adjusted, and medicine levels in blood may be monitored closely.
