Description:

Cactra MF Tablet is a combination of two medicines. It is used in the treatment of fever. It is also useful for the treatment of mild to moderate pain of various conditions like headache, body ache, and toothache.

Cactra MF Tablet is to be taken with food. This will prevent you from getting an upset stomach. The dose will depend on what you are taking it for and how well it helps your symptoms. You should take it as advised by your doctor. Do not take more or use it for a longer duration than recommended by the doctor.

The most common side effects of this medicine include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, indigestion, loss of appetite, and heartburn. If any of these side effects bother you or get worse, you should speak to your doctor. Your doctor may be able to suggest ways of preventing or reducing the side effects.

Earlier taking it, you should let your doctor know if you have a history of ulcer or bleeding in your stomach, high blood pressure, or have any trouble with your heart, kidneys, or liver. Let your doctor also know about all the other medicines you are taking because they may affect, or be affected by, this medicine.

The use of Cactra MF Tablet is considered to be harmful for patients with known allergy to any of the components or excipients of this medicine or in patients with known allergy to other painkillers (NSAIDs). The use of this medicine should preferably be avoided in patients with a history of stomach ulcer or in patients with active, recurrent stomach ulcer/bleeding. It should also be avoided in patients with a history of liver or kidney disease.

Can I take Cactra MF Tablet with vitamin B-complex?

Affirmative, Cactra MF Tablet can be taken with Vitamin B-complex preparations. While Cactra MF Tablet helps to relieve pain, Vitamin B-complex can help correct the vitamin deficiency that might be causing the underlying painful condition.

Can the use of Cactra MF Tablet cause damage to kidneys?

Affirmative, the long-term use of Cactra MF Tablet can cause damage to the kidneys. Normal kidneys produce a chemical called prostaglandins that protect the kidneys from damage. Employ of painkillers lower the levels of prostaglandins in the body which leads to kidney damage on long-term use. Employ of painkillers is not recommended to patients with underlying kidney disease.

No, taking a higher than the recommended dose of Cactra MF Tablet can increase the risks of side effects like nausea, vomiting, heartburn, indigestion, diarrhea and can also damage the kidneys on long-term use.
