FAQs:

What is Vigifer Tablet used for?

Vigifer Tablet is commonly used to treat and prevent anemia, especially iron deficiency anemia and megaloblastic anemia. It also supports energy production, red blood cell formation, and overall nutritional health, particularly in pregnancy, lactation, and recovery from illness.

What are the benefits of taking Vigifer Tablet?

Vigifer Tablet helps in correcting low iron levels, enhances hemoglobin, prevents fatigue, and maintains healthy nerve and brain function. These supplements are especially useful for pregnant women, people with poor diets, or those recovering from chronic illnesses.

Can I take Vigifer Tablet if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?

Affirmative, Vigifer Tablet is generally safe for pregnant or breastfeeding women, as it contains essential nutrients. However, consult your doctor before starting any new supplement during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

How should I take Vigifer Tablet?

You should take Vigifer Tablet as directed by your doctor. It is usually taken once daily after meals. Avoid taking it with tea, milk, or antacids, and allow a 2-hour gap between such items to ensure better absorption of Vigifer Tablet.

What should I avoid while taking Vigifer Tablet?

You should avoid taking Vigifer Tablet with milk, tea, coffee, or calcium supplements, as they can reduce iron absorption. Also, do not take other multivitamins or iron products unless prescribed, to prevent overdose or interactions.

Is it safe to take Vigifer Tablet daily for a long time?

Affirmative, if prescribed, Vigifer Tablet can be safely taken long-term to correct or prevent deficiencies. However, do not self-medicate or exceed the recommended dose. Prolonged or high-dose intake without deficiency may lead to iron overload or masking of other conditions.

Why does stool turn black when taking Vigifer Tablet?

Murky-colored or black stool is a common and harmless side effect of iron supplementation (present in Vigifer Tablet). It happens due to the unabsorbed iron in the digestive tract and does not indicate internal bleeding unless accompanied by pain or other symptoms.

How long does Vigifer Tablet take to see results?

The time Vigifer Tablet takes to show results depends on your nutritional status. For example, improvements in energy levels may take a few weeks, while correction of anemia or nerve-related symptoms may take longer.
