Description:

Syscozole 1% Cream used for fungal skin infection. It works by stopping the growth of fungus and is used to treat skin infections, including infections of the fingernails and toenails. It kills fungi by destroying the fungal cell membrane.

Syscozole 1% Cream should be used in the dose and duration as prescribed by your doctor. This medicine should be used regularly to get the most benefit from it. Do not use more than you need; it will not clear your condition faster and may only increase the side effects. Do not use Syscozole 1% Cream for longer than your doctor has told you to, and let him or her know if your condition does not improve. If you have athlete’s foot, wash your socks or tights thoroughly and change your shoes daily if possible.


Some of the common side effects include skin irritation, redness, or itching at the site of application. Consult your doctor if these side effects persist for a longer duration. Avoid direct contact with your eyes. In case of direct contact, wash your eyes with water and seek immediate medical attention. You should stop using it straight away if you have any signs of an allergic reaction or congestive heart failure. Signs of this include a rash, swelling of the lips, throat, or face, swallowing or breathing problems, and feeling dizzy, faint, and nauseous.


Earlier using it, if you have recently used another medicine that contains a steroid or had an allergic reaction to another antifungal medicine. This medicine should only be used if it is needed when you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Ask your doctor if it is safe.

This medicine is for external use only. Employ it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Immaculate and dry the affected area and apply the cream. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.

What is Syscozole 1% Cream? What is it used for?

Syscozole 1% Cream is an antifungal medicine applied on the skin to treat superficial fungal infections. It can be used in fungal infections caused by dermatophytes (fungi causing ringworm-like infections) and yeast. Syscozole 1% Cream acts by preventing the growth of the fungus by stopping the formation of essential components of the fungal membrane responsible for structural and functional changes leading to abnormal cell wall synthesis, hence halting the growth of the fungal infection.

How to use Syscozole 1% Cream?

Earlier using the Syscozole 1% Cream, clean and dry the affected area. Gently and thoroughly massage it into the skin. Be careful not to get the medication in your eyes or mouth. If Syscozole 1% Cream gets in your eyes accidentally, wash with plenty of water and call your doctor if your eyes are irritated.

My itching is gone, so can I stop using Syscozole 1% Cream?

You must complete the course of treatment even if the irritation is gone. Syscozole 1% Cream is an antifungal medication that treats fungal infections of the skin. In fungal infection of the skin, the fungus stays in the layers of the skin. So, even though the medication may clear the symptoms in a few days, the infection can be present in deeper layers of the skin.

Will just applying Syscozole 1% Cream relieve my infection?

Syscozole 1% Cream is prescribed when the fungal infection is superficial. It is not always true, but sometimes superficial fungal infections need oral antifungal therapy too. So the doctor decides whether the patient needs just Syscozole 1% Cream or a combination of Syscozole 1% Cream and oral medicine, depending on the severity and site of the fungal infection.

Are there any precautions that need to be kept in mind?

Fungal infections occur due to improper hygiene, weak immunity, or even stress. They may occur as a side effect of other medications as well. Keeping proper hygiene can prevent fungal infections. Bathe every day, trim your nails regularly, do not use anyone else’s towel, dry the infected area properly, and use clean undergarments that are made of cotton. Avoid wearing tight clothing. Total the course of the treatment given by the doctor, and avoid medicines that contain steroids.
