Description:

Rocaltrol Capsule is the active form of vitamin D. It increases the levels of vitamin D in your blood which in turn raises calcium levels in the blood by helping in the absorption of more calcium from your intestine. This way it helps in the treatment of calcium deficiency and metabolic bone disease.

Rocaltrol Capsule is also beneficial in increasing muscle mass, helps in the prevention and treatment of hypocalcemia, as well as helps in reducing fatigue and muscular pains. It boosts immunity and increases body resistance against infection.

This medicine is to be taken in the dosage as advised by the doctor. Consult your doctor if you plan to take any other form of vitamin D along with this medicine.

This medicine is generally tolerated with little or no side effects. In patients with kidney disease patients, dose adjustment may be required. Discussed with your doctor. Avoid or limit the consumption of alcohol while on treatment with this medicine.

Directions For Use:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Rocaltrol Capsule may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Driving

Kidney
CAUTION
Rocaltrol Capsule should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Rocaltrol Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
However, regular monitoring of phosphate levels may be advised while you are taking this medicine.
Liver
