Description:

Reshade V Solution is a medication used for the treatment of vitiligo. It works best when used in combination with other treatments. It stimulates the movement and growth of melanin-producing cells, called melanocytes, in white patches of skin and hair roots. This way, Reshade V Solution restores the skin color.

Reshade V Solution is for external use only. Employ it exactly as your doctor has prescribed. The affected area should be cleaned and dried before application. Wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying this medicine. Employ it regularly to get the maximum benefit. Do not use more than needed, as it will not clear your condition faster and may instead cause some side effects. If your condition goes on for longer than four weeks or gets worse at any time, let your doctor know. You can help this medication work better by keeping the affected areas clean.

Ordinary side effects of Reshade V Solution include dry skin, skin irritation, and a burning sensation at the site of application. Consult your doctor if these side effects do not get better or persist for a longer duration. Avoid direct contact with your eyes and mouth. In case of accidental contact, rinse it off with water and seek medical attention.

For optimal results, it is recommended to apply Reshade V Solution two hours before going to bed. In the morning, the Reshade V Solution treated areas can be exposed to sunlight for 10-15 minutes. You can apply sunscreen (SPF 50) on the unaffected part during sunlight exposure, particularly if the rays are harsh. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctors before using this medicine to make sure the medicine is safe for them and the developing baby.

FAQs:

What is vitiligo?

Vitiligo is an autoimmune disease of the skin that causes white patches on the skin due to the loss of normal skin pigment called melanin. It occurs when the cells that give your skin its color are destroyed. These patches can also affect the eyes, mouth, and nose.

How does Reshade V Solution work?

Reshade V Solution increases the growth of cells that make pigment (melanocytes). It increases melanocytes in the area of patches (hypopigmented area). It also helps the melanocytes to migrate to the affected area, thus restoring skin complexion.

How safe is Reshade V Solution?

Reshade V Solution is quite safe if used as prescribed. No side effects or contraindications have been reported so far. If you experience any side effects after applying the lotion, consult your doctor immediately.

How long do I need to use Reshade V Solution?

The duration of treatment depends on the response to treatment. The response is faster in children or if used in recently developed patches. Normally, repigmentation can be seen on the borders or inside the white patch (as dots of pigment) in 3 to 6 months, depending on the age of the white patch. In the majority of patients, full repigmentation may take a year.

Can childhood vitiligo go away?

There is still no remedy that cures vitiligo 100%. Sometimes the patches may disappear on their own. But generally, the patches may get repigmented, but never get cured completely.
