Description:

Ranodap 500mg Tablet is used for the management of angina (heart-related chest pain). It helps prevent new attacks of angina but does not stop an acute attack once started. It relieves chest pain by making the heart work more efficiently.

Ranodap 500mg Tablet should be taken in the dose as advised by your doctor, at the same time each day. It can be taken with or without food to avoid stomach upset. Your doctor will decide how often you should take this medicine. This may change from time to time depending on how well it is working. You should take this medicine regularly to get the most benefit, even if you feel fine. It prevents future harm. If you stop taking it, your chest pain may come back.


You can improve the health of your heart by making some lifestyle changes, such as quitting smoking, cutting down on alcohol, eating well, taking regular exercise, and managing stress. Some common side effects of this medicine include nausea, headache, dizziness, and constipation. Communicate to your doctor if these bother you or do not go away.


Ranodap 500mg Tablet may not be suitable for some people. Tell your doctor if you are suffering from any liver or kidney problems. What are the serious side effects of Ranodap 500mg Tablet?

Ranodap 500mg Tablet may cause changes in the electrical activity of the heart, which is known as QT prolongation. Your doctor may get regular tests done to check the electrical activity of your heart. Tell your doctor right away if you feel faint or lightheaded or if your heart starts beating irregularly or fast, as these may be symptoms of QT prolongation. Ranodap 500mg Tablet may also cause kidney failure in patients who already have kidney problems. Therefore, your doctor may need to do tests to check how your kidneys are working.

I started taking Ranodap 500mg Tablet about a week ago. Now I have noticed that my urine has become very dark, though I am taking plenty of fluids. Is there anything to worry about?

Murky urine while taking Ranodap 500mg Tablet is not a common side effect, but it can sometimes happen. Monitor for other symptoms like yellowing of the skin/eyes (jaundice), severe fatigue, nausea, or unusual muscle pain.
