Description:

Proxym-XT Tablet is a pain relieving medicine. It is used to reduce pain and inflammation in conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and osteoarthritis. It may also be used to relieve fever, muscle pain, back pain, toothache, or pain in the ear and throat.

Proxym-XT Tablet should be taken with food. This will prevent you from getting an upset stomach. You should take it regularly as advised by your doctor. Do not take more or use it for a longer duration than recommended by your doctor.

There is limited data on the side effects of Proxym-XT Tablet. Let your doctor know if you experience any symptoms that bother you or worsen while taking the medicine. They may be able to suggest ways to treat or manage the side effects.

The medicine may not be suitable for everybody. Earlier taking it, let your doctor know if you have any problems with your heart, kidneys, liver, or have stomach ulcers. To make sure it is safe for you, let your doctor know about all the other medicines you are taking. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should first consult their doctors before using this medicine.

What is Proxym-XT Tablet used for?

Proxym-XT Tablet is used to relieve pain, swelling, stiffness, and inflammation linked to arthritis conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. It may help with mild to moderate pain like headache, toothache, period pain, sore throat, and feverish body pain.

Who should not take Proxym-XT Tablet?

Individuals should not take Proxym-XT Tablet if they are allergic to etodolac, paracetamol, or any ingredient present in it. This medicine should also not be used if they have severe heart failure, current or repeated stomach/duodenal ulcers, bleeding, past serious reactions to aspirin/NSAIDs (e.g., wheezing, rash), severe liver or kidney failure, or are pregnant or breastfeeding unless your doctor decides it is essential.

What serious side effects of Proxym-XT Tablet should I watch out for?

Earnest side effects of Proxym-XT Tablet include chest pain, stroke symptoms, passing black stools, vomiting blood, severe stomach pain, yellow eyes/skin (liver injury), trouble peeing, very little urine (kidney failure), severe rash, skin peeling, swelling of face/lips/tongue, severe headache, and fever with stiff neck (possible aseptic meningitis). Can Proxym-XT Tablet harm my stomach or cause bleeding?

Affirmative. Proxym-XT Tablet can cause stomach or intestinal bleeding, ulcers, or holes at any time, with or without warning. If you notice blood in stool, black tarry stools, or vomit that looks like coffee grounds, stop the medicine and seek medical care immediately. This risk is higher with high doses or long-term use.

Does Proxym-XT Tablet increase heart attack or stroke risk?

Proxym-XT Tablet may be linked with a small increased risk of heart attack (myocardial infarction) or stroke, especially with higher doses or longer use. People with heart problems, high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, or who smoke should discuss risks with their doctor, and avoid taking more than prescribed, or for longer than advised.

What are the signs of liver or kidney damage I should watch for during Proxym-XT Tablet treatment?

Proxym-XT Tablet can affect the liver and kidneys. The signs of liver damage include yellowing of the eyes/skin, belly pain, abnormal liver tests, and severe tiredness. The signs of kidney damage include pain or difficulty passing urine, a change in urine color, and peeing much more or less than usual. Perceivek care urgently (can be serious, especially if too much Proxym-XT Tablet is taken) if you notice any of these liver or kidney signs.
