Description:

Pitsafe-Plus Tablet is a combination medicine used in the treatment of high cholesterol. It prevents your body from making bad cholesterol and raise the levels of good cholesterol. It also prevents absorption of cholesterol from the intestines.

Pitsafe-Plus Tablet can be taken with or without food. You should take it regularly at evenly spaced intervals as per the schedule prescribed by your doctor. Taking it at the same time every day will help you remember to take it. The dose and duration of treatment will depend on what you are being treated for. Do not stop taking it until you have finished the complete course, even when you feel better. You can help this medicine work better by making a few changes to your lifestyle such as keeping active, stopping smoking, eating a healthy low fat diet and exercise regularly.

Headache, tiredness, muscle pain and back pain are some common side effects of this medicine. These are usually mild but let your doctor know if they bother you or last more than a few days. Let your doctor know if you notice yellowing of skin or eyes, unusually dark urine or dark stools as it might be symptoms of liver damage. You may be asked for regular monitoring of blood sugar level, and liver function while taking this medicine.

Earlier taking this medicine, let your doctor know if you have any kidney or liver problems or high blood pressure. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor before taking it.  You should also let your healthcare team know all other medicines you are taking as they may affect, or be affected by this medicine.

Directions For Use:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Pitsafe-Plus Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Side Effects:

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Alcohol

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Pitsafe-Plus Tablet.
Pregnancy
UNSAFE
Pitsafe-Plus Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy. Perceivek your doctor's advice as studies on pregnant women and animals have shown significant harmful effects to the developing baby.
Breast feeding
CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR
Pitsafe-Plus Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Driving
SAFE
Pitsafe-Plus Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Kidney
CAUTION
Pitsafe-Plus Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Pitsafe-Plus Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
CAUTION
Pitsafe-Plus Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Pitsafe-Plus Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Employ of Pitsafe-Plus Tablet is not recommended in patients with moderate to severe liver disease.
