Description:

Phenergan Injection is a systemic antihistamine used to relieve allergic reactions such as itching, sneezing, and rashes. It works by blocking histamine, a substance released during allergies, helping reduce allergy symptoms and discomfort.

Phenergan Injection is given as an injection under the supervision of healthcare professionals. It should be taken as your doctor's advice. The dose and how often you take it depends on what you are taking it for. Your doctor will decide how much you need to improve your symptoms. You should take this medicine for as long as it is prescribed for you. You must inform your doctor if symptoms do not improve within 7 days of the treatment.

The most common side effects of this medicine include drowsiness, restlessness, headache, and tiredness. There may be ways of reducing or preventing them. It makes the skin more sensitive towards sunlight. Employ sunscreen or wear protective clothing before going out.

Earlier taking this medicine, let your doctor know if you have glaucoma or have asthma issues, or have high blood pressure. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, or breastfeeding. Your doctor should also know about all other medicines you are taking as many of these may make this medicine less effective or change the way it works. Generally, it is advised to avoid alcohol while on treatment.

UNSAFE
Do not drink alcohol while you are taking this medicine. Phenergan Injection may cause excessive drowsiness when taken with alcohol.
Pregnancy

Phenergan Injection is not recommended during pregnancy as there is positive evidence of fetal risk based on animal studies. However, it may still be prescribed by a doctor in situations where the benefits outweigh the risks.
Breast feeding

Driving
UNSAFE
