Pentaxim Vaccine is a prescription medicine having combination of medicines that is used in the treatment of diphtheria, influenza (flu), pertussis, tetanus, and polio. It helps in developing immunity. It protects the body against future infections.
Pentaxim Vaccine injection must be administered under the supervision of a healthcare professional. You should not take it if you have any known allergy from this injection.
The most common side effects include loss of appetite, nervousness, irritability, unusual crying, sleepiness, vomiting, injection site redness, swelling, pain, and induration, fever, diarrhea, insomnia, and sleep disorder. If any of these side effects or any other symptoms which you think are because of this medicine persist for a longer duration, please inform your doctor.
Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or suffering from any other diseases. This medicine is safe to use in breastfeeding mothers and patients suffering from liver and kidney diseases. It is advised to avoid alcohol while taking this medicine.
