Taking it in the wrong way or taking too much can cause very serious side effects. Some common side effects of this medicine include headache, dizziness, insomnia, vomiting, and nausea. This medicine may reduce the number of blood cells in your blood, thereby, increasing the susceptibility to infections. Hence, inform your doctor if you notice fever, chills, rash, trouble breathing, unusual bleeding or bruising, and dark-colored urine. Regular blood tests are required to check your blood cells along with thyroid function, liver function, kidney function, and serum electrolyte levels.

You must inform your doctor if you notice mood changes, depression, vision changes, and suicidal thoughts while taking this medicine.
