Side Effects:

Pegalax Oral Solution should be taken in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Employ this medicine regularly to get the most benefit and try to take it at the same time(s) each day. Your dose may go up or down depending on how well it’s working. Don’t take more than you’re advised to and, if you miss a dose, don’t take an extra one to make up for it. Pegalax Oral Solution takes at least 48 hours to work. Communicate to your doctor if you’re still constipated after three days.

The most common side effects are nausea, diarrhea and stomach pain. You can help avoid the side effects by drinking plenty of fluids, taking your medicine between meals. Communicate to your doctor straight away if you notice any of these.

Earlier taking Pegalax Oral Solution, you should tell your doctor if you have diabetes or if you’re unable to digest milk sugar (lactose intolerant). If you use this medicine over a long period of time, your doctor may want you to have occasional blood tests to check the mineral levels (e.g. potassium and sodium). Don’t take other laxative medicines while taking this medicine and check with your doctor if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding.

Warning & Precautions:

In Treatment of Indigestion

Indigestion is a feeling of discomfort or a burning sensation in the upper part of your stomach. It also causes stomach pain and a feeling of fullness. Pegalax Oral Solution treats indigestion and thus gives relief from its symptoms by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach. Pegalax Oral Solution also gives relief from excess gas by breaking trapped gas and allows its easy passage. Take Pegalax Oral Solution as prescribed by the doctor. Consider about what foods trigger indigestion and try to avoid them; eat smaller, more frequent meals; try to lose weight if you are overweight, and try to find ways to relax. Avoid eating within 3-4 hours of going to bed.
