Description:

Ovarium Tablet is a combination of two medicines used in the treatment of polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). It regulates ovulation and menstrual cycles (periods) in PCOS. It enhances the body's response to insulin and maintains hormonal balance. This improves your overall health.

Ovarium Tablet should be taken in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

It may cause side effects like taste changes, nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, stomach pain, and loss of appetite. However, these are temporary and usually subside on their own. Please consult your doctor in case these do not resolve or persist for a longer duration.

Earlier taking Ovarium Tablet, inform your doctor if you have any kidney, liver, or heart problems. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor before taking it. Your doctor will check your kidney function tests before starting treatment with it. Avoid excessive alcohol intake while taking it as this may increase the risk of developing some side effects.

Directions For Use:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Ovarium Tablet may be taken with or without food.

Side Effects:

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Ovarium Tablet may be safe to use during breastfeeding. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
Driving
CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR
It is not known whether Ovarium Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react. Please consult your doctor.
Kidney
CAUTION
Ovarium Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.
Employ of Ovarium Tablet is, however, not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. Regular monitoring of kidney function test is advisable while you are taking this medicine.
Liver
UNSAFE
Ovarium Tablet is unsafe to use in patients with liver disease and should be avoided.
Ovarium Tablet is generally started with low dose in patients with mild to moderate liver disease and its use is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.

Ovarium Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Metformin and Myo Inositol. This medicine is used in the treatment of Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). Metformin is an antidiabetic medicine which helps to regulate menstrual cycle by improving the insulin sensitivity. This helps in regularizing the menstrual cycles in women. Signs and symptoms include raised insulin levels leading to diabetes, irregular periods or absence of periods, weight gain, oily skin or acne, excessive hair growth (hirsutism) usually on the face, chest, back or buttocks and thinning of hair.

Can the use of Ovarium Tablet cause nausea and vomiting?

Affirmative, the use of Ovarium Tablet can cause nausea and vomiting. Taking it with milk, food or with antacids can help prevent nausea. Avoid taking fatty or fried foods along with this medicine. In case of vomiting, drink plenty of water or other fluids by taking small frequent sips. Communicate to your doctor if vomiting persists and you notice signs of dehydration, like dark colored and strong-smelling urine and a low frequency of urination. Do not take any other medicine without speaking to a doctor.

When should I take Ovarium Tablet?

It is best to take Ovarium Tablet at your bed time as this will minimize the side effects caused by this medicine.
