Description:

Oticaid Ear Drop is used to treat ear infections. It works by killing microorganisms that cause infection. It blocks the release of certain chemical messengers that cause redness, swelling, and itching. It also works by blocking pain signals to the brain to decrease the pain sensation.

Oticaid Ear Drop is for external use only. Never use drops if the seal is broken before you use it for the first time. Wash your hands before using it. Follow the instructions given by your doctor and use it in the dose and duration suggested by the doctor.  Do not stop using it until you have finished the complete course, even when you feel better.

The medicine is generally safe to use with no common side effects. It is not likely that other medicines you take by mouth or injection will affect the way it works but talk to your doctor before using it if you have used a similar medicine before and had an allergic reaction. This medicine should only be used if it is clearly needed during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

It stops bacterial growth by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Beclometasone is a steroid which works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause inflammation (redness and swelling) and allergies. Clotrimazole is an antifungal medication. It kills fungi by destroying the fungal cell membrane. This treats your infection. Lidocaine is a local anesthetic. It works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to brain to decrease the sensation of pain. This is how Oticaid Ear Drop treats ear infections.

Warning & Precautions:

Oticaid Ear Drop should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from the body.
