Description:

Orasep Gel is a combination of two medicines is used to treat mouth ulcers. It reduces the pain, swelling, redness, and burning sensation of the ulcers. It also inhibits the growth of bacteria and helps in the rapid healing of ulcers.

Orasep Gel is strictly advised for external use only. Employ it in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Apply it only on the affected areas of the mouth. It should not be used in excess amount and also avoid swallowing it. In case of accidental contact with your eye, rinse it off with plenty of water.

This medicine is generally safe and does not cause any side effects. However, if you experience any allergic reactions such as itching, swelling, and rashes on application, you should consult a doctor immediately.


Earlier you start Orasep Gel, let your doctor know if you have any medical conditions. Let your doctor also know about all the medications you are taking, as some medicines may interact with Orasep Gel. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking Orasep Gel to ensure safety.

Directions For Use:

Check the label for directions before use. Gently apply the gel to the affected area inside your mouth. Refrain from eating or drinking immediately after applying the gel.

What are the contraindications associated with the use of Orasep Gel?

The use of Orasep Gel should be avoided in children. This medicine contains choline salicylate and the use of salicylates is supposed to cause Reye's syndrome. This syndrome affects the brain and liver, and can be fatal. Avoid the use of Orasep Gel if you have an allergy to salicylates or Aspirin.

What precautions should be taken while using Orasep Gel?

Inform your doctor if you are taking Aspirin or any other medicine with an anticoagulant (blood thinning) activity. Orasep Gel contains salicylates and together, they may increase the risk of bleeding.
