Description:

Ocupol Eye Ointment is a combination of two medicines. It is used in treating bacterial eye infections. It relieves pain, itching, discomfort, and irritation caused by infection. It also stops the growth of the infection-causing microorganisms.

Ocupol Eye Ointment is to be used only in the affected eye. Read the label carefully for instruction before you use the medicine. Use it in the exact dose and duration as advised by the doctor or as instructed in the label. Wash your hands before using this medicine. Do not use too much or too little. Complete your dose and do not stop using the medicine even if you feel better until the doctor says it is alright to stop.

Use of this medicine may cause burning sensation, stinging, and irritation at the application site. These are usually temporary and resolve with time. However, if they persist or get worse, inform your doctor. In case of accidental contact with your ears, nose, or mouth, immediately rinse it with water.

Uses:

This medicine is for external use only. Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the tube close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the tube and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid.

Directions For Use:

  • Your doctor has prescribed Ocupol Eye Ointment to cure your eye infection and improve your symptoms.
  • Use it twice a day (in the morning and the evening). If your symptoms are particularly severe, your doctor may suggest you use them up to four times a day.
  • To avoid contamination, do not touch the dropper tip or let it touch your eye or any other surface. If it does, squeeze out two or three drops straightaway onto some tissue and rinse the tip with saltwater.
  • Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute, immediately after instilling the medication. This will prevent the medication from draining out.

Side Effects:

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them
