Description:

Nu Patch is used to relieve pain and reduce swelling in your joints and muscles. It can be used to treat various injuries such as sprains, strains and bruises. It can also be used for tendonitis (such as tennis elbow) and osteoarthritis.

Nu Patch may be used 2 to 4 times a day on the affected area depending on how severe your condition is. It should be applied slowly and evenly to the skin until it is rubbed in. You should not use it too often and you should not cover the treated area with a bandage or plaster.

It is a safe medicine with few side effects, but you may get a skin rash, itching, reddening or burning of the skin. Occasionally a skin rash may be a sign of severe allergic reaction. Tell your doctor straight away if you get a rash with blistering. Nu Patch is not recommended if you are pregnant or breastfeeding and you should not use it if you are already taking diclofenac (or other similar) tablets.

Employ this medicine in dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label before use. Make sure the skin is clean and dry. Remove the protective liner of the patch. Do not touch the sticky side. With sticky side down, place the patch evenly onto the skin.

Can I use Nu Patch for osteoarthritis in the hip?

No, Nu Patch is not recommended for hip pain. The hip joint is located deep in the body. It is unlikely for this medication to be absorbed deep enough under the skin to help with joint pain in the hip.

How to use Nu Patch?

Gently rub Nu Patch into the skin using your hands. You should apply it 4 times a day for best results. You might get some relief quickly (within half an hour), but if often takes a few days of use for the full benefits. Therefore, if you encounter any such problems, consult your doctor immediately.

Can Nu Patch be taken during pregnancy?

You should not take Nu Patch during the last 3 months of pregnancy as it may cause harmful effects on your baby. Employ of Nu Patch can also lead to reduced labor (premature delivery). Hence, it is advised to avoid using Nu Patch during the first 6 months of pregnancy also. In some cases, Nu Patch may be prescribed in pregnant women only if the benefits outweigh the risks involved with its use in pregnant women. If not sure, consult your doctor regarding its use.
