Description:

NEWTEL BETA 25MG TABLET 10'S belongs to the class antihypertensive agents used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). It may also be used to lower the risk of heart attack and stroke in future. High blood pressure is a condition in which the force of the blood against the artery walls is too high leading to hypertension. Symptoms of high blood pressure include headache, dizziness, nose bleed, changes in vision, chest pain, weakness and dyspnoea (shortness of breath).

Use it as advised by your doctor or check the label for directions before use. Newtel-Beta 25 Tablet PR is to be taken with food.

NEWTEL BETA TABLET is used to treat hypertension. Hypertension is an abnormal condition in which blood pressure rises higher than normal limits in the blood vessels. It is characterized by severe headache, nose bleeding, weakness, disturbed vision, chest pain and shortness of breath. 

Q.What happens if you take more NEWTEL BETA TABLET than your required dose?
If you or anyone else accidentally takes too much of NEWTEL BETA TABLET, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital. Symptoms of overdose are low blood pressure, fast or slow heartbeat, dizziness, heart block, heart failure, bronchospasm (constriction of lung muscles), hypoxia (lack of oxygen supply to body cells), higher levels of creatinine in the blood, sudden kidney failure, impairment of consciousness or nausea, vomiting and coma.

Q.What side effects are seen with NEWTEL BETA TABLET?
The common side effects associated with the use of NEWTEL BETA TABLET are low blood pressure, tiredness, dizziness, depression, diarrhoea, shortness of breath, slow heartbeat and rash. Consult your doctor if any of the side effect worsens.

Q.Who should avoid taking NEWTEL BETA TABLET?
NEWTEL BETA TABLET is not recommended for use if you are having asthma, emphysema, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, lung infections, cholestasis or biliary obstruction, impaired kidney function, severely low heart rate, heart block, cardiogenic shock, decompensated cardiac failure or sick sinus syndrome. It is also not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women, children and adolescents (aged below18 years). Consult your doctor before taking NEWTEL BETA TABLET.

NEWTEL BETA TABLET is not recommended for use in children and adolescents (aged below 18 years). If NEWTEL BETA TABLET is accidentally ingested by a child or adolescent, go to the hospital immediately and consult the doctor for further management. 

Q.Can I drink alcohol while taking NEWTEL BETA TABLET?
Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking NEWTEL BETA TABLET since it may aggravate the low blood pressure. However, if you are habitual of drinking alcohol, you must consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

Q.Is NEWTEL BETA TABLET safe to use in patients with kidney problems?
NEWTEL BETA TABLET is not recommended for use if have impaired kidney function and treated with a blood pressure lowering medicine containing aliskiren. It should be used with caution if you have certain kidney disease such as renal artery stenosis (narrowing of the blood vessels to one or both kidneys) or have undergone kidney transplant. Consult your doctor for advice before taking NEWTEL BETA TABLET.
