Description:

Neopred Tablet is a type of antibiotic used to prevent infection before or after certain intestinal surgeries. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria in the intestines. This medicine is also used to treat a certain type of coma seen in patients with liver disease (hepatic encephalopathy).

Neopred Tablet should be taken orally, as per the dosage and schedule prescribed by your doctor. It may be taken with or without food. Employ this medicine regularly to derive maximum benefit from it. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.

Ordinaryly seen side effects seen with this medicine include diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting. These are usually temporary and subside with the completion of treatment. Consult your doctor if you find these side effects bother or worry you.

Earlier taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you have any previous history of allergy to it or any other medicine in the past. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before using this medicine.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Neopred Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
