Description:
MITE 5% Cream is an antiparasitic medication. It is used to treat scabies, a condition where tiny insects infest and irritate your skin. This medicine works by killing the insects (mites) and their eggs.Your doctor will explain how to use MITE 5% Cream and how much you need. Read the instructions that come with the medicine carefully to ensure correct use. The skin should be clean, dry, and cool before application. The whole body should be washed thoroughly 8–12 hours after using this medicine.
Most people need only a single application to treat scabies; however, if a second application is required, it should be used no sooner than 7 days after the first. Itching may continue for up to 4 weeks after treatment and is usually due to an allergic reaction to dead mites rather than treatment failure.
The most common side effects include mild burning, stinging, or tingling where the medicine is applied. Most side effects are usually mild, and not everyone gets them. If they persist or get worse, consult your doctor for guidance.
Earlier using it, let your doctor know if you have any skin conditions or allergies to medicines, food, or other substances, or if you have asthma. Though this medicine is generally thought to be safe, you should ask your doctor’s advice if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
