Description:

Micashield 100mg Injection is an antifungal medication. It is used in the treatment of severe fungal infections. It kills the fungi that cause infections and thus provides relief.

Micashield 100mg Injection is administered as an injection by a healthcare professional. Compassionately do not self-administer. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Your liver function should be monitored regularly during treatment.

It may lead to a few common side effects like rash, headache, nausea, vomiting, and increased liver enzymes. You may also notice some injection site reactions like pain, swelling, or redness. Inform your doctor if these side effects persist for a longer duration. Please consult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to conceive, or breastfeeding.

Pregnancy

Micashield 100mg Injection is not recommended during pregnancy as there is positive evidence of fetal risk based on animal studies. However, it may still be prescribed by a doctor in situations where the benefits outweigh the risks.
Breast feeding
CAUTION
Micashield 100mg Injection should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from the body.
Driving

It is not known whether Micashield 100mg Injection alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react. Please consult your doctor.
Kidney
CAUTION
Micashield 100mg Injection should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.
However, inform your doctor if you have an underlying kidney disease. Regular monitoring of kidney function tests may be required.
Liver
CAUTION
Micashield 100mg Injection should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.
