    Description:

    METPURE AR 10 MG/2.5 MG/25 MG TABLET is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). It is a combination medicine that reduces both blood pressure and cholesterol. Moreover, it helps in preventing future heart attacks and strokes.

    METPURE AR 10 MG/2.5 MG/25 MG TABLET should be taken with food. You should take it regularly at evenly spaced intervals as per the schedule prescribed by your doctor. Taking it at the same time every day will help you remember to take it. The dose and duration of treatment will depend on what you are being treated for. Do not stop taking it until you have finished the complete course, even when you feel better. Lifestyle changes like low-fat diet, exercise and not smoking may help this medicine to work better.

    The most common side effects of this medicine include nausea, taste change, stomach pain, and constipation.  If these bother you or appear serious, let your doctor know. There may be ways of reducing or preventing them. Let your doctor know if you notice yellowing of skin, muscle symptoms (pain or weakness), and fever. Avoid potassium rich food or supplements, as this medicine may raise the level of potassium in the blood. You may be asked for regular monitoring of blood pressure, blood sugar level, potassium level in blood or liver function while on the treatment.

    Earlier taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have liver or kidney disease. You must tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding. You should also let your healthcare team know all other medicines you are taking as they may affect, or be affected by this medicine.

    Directions For Use:

    Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. METPURE AR 10 MG/2.5 MG/25 MG TABLET should be taken with or after food.

    Side Effects:

    Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

    Pregnancy

    METPURE AR 10 MG/2.5 MG/25 MG TABLET is highly unsafe during pregnancy. It can cause serious harm to the unborn baby, including birth defects and pregnancy loss. Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
    Breast feeding
    SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
    METPURE AR 10 MG/2.5 MG/25 MG TABLET may be safe to use during breastfeeding. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
    Driving
    UNSAFE
    METPURE AR 10 MG/2.5 MG/25 MG TABLET may decrease alertness, affect your vision, or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
    Kidney
    CAUTION
    METPURE AR 10 MG/2.5 MG/25 MG TABLET should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.
    Regular monitoring of blood pressure is recommended for dose adjustment.
    Liver
    CAUTION
    METPURE AR 10 MG/2.5 MG/25 MG TABLET should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.
