Directions For Use:
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Met XL 50 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Avoid Met XL 50 Tablet with high-fat meals such as olive oil, nuts & seeds (Brazil nuts), dark chocolate, butter and meat.
Side Effects:

- Headache
- Slow heart rate
Warning & Precautions:
Do not take Supermet XL 50 Tablet if you are allergic to Supermet XL 50 Tablet or any other beta-blockers. Avoid taking Supermet XL 50 Tablet if you have/had heart conduction, rhythm problems, uncontrolled/severe heart failure, blocked blood vessels, blood circulation problems, untreated pheochromocytoma, metabolic acidosis, low blood pressure, or prinzmetal angina. Inform your doctor if you have asthma, COPD, diabetes, blood vessel disorder, slow heart rate, pheochromocytoma, myasthenia gravis, dry eye problems, kidney or liver impairment; if you are taking anti-depressants, other blood pressure-lowering medicines, or anti-arrhythmic agents. Consult your doctor before taking Supermet XL 50 Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Supermet XL 50 Tablet is not recommended for children as safety and efficacy have not been established. Supermet XL 50 Tablet may cause dizziness, so drive with caution. Let your doctor know if you are taking other prescription/non-prescription medicines or herbal supplements.
Driving
Supermet XL 50 Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Kidney
Supermet XL 50 Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Supermet XL 50 Tablet is recommended.
Liver
Supermet XL 50 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Supermet XL 50 Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Alcohol
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Supermet XL 50 Tablet.
Pregnancy
Supermet XL 50 Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
Breast feeding
