Macugen 0.3mg Infusion is a prescription medicine used to treat wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD), a condition that causes vision loss due to abnormal blood vessel growth in the eye. It helps slow down vision loss and can help maintain or improve sight in people with wet AMD.
Macugen 0.3mg Infusion is administered directly into the eye by a trained eye specialist. Be sure to attend all scheduled appointments for the injections, as missing doses can reduce the treatment’s effectiveness. Avoid rubbing or touching your eyes, and protect them from dust or anything that might cause irritation. Follow your doctor’s instructions carefully and go for regular eye check-ups to monitor your progress.
Ordinary side effects of Macugen 0.3mg Infusion include eye discomfort, eye pain, blurred vision, or small spots in your vision (floaters). Mild side effects often go away on their own, but if you experience severe eye pain, vision changes, increased redness or swelling, or signs of infection (such as pus or discharge), contact your doctor immediately.
Earlier receiving Macugen 0.3mg Infusion, tell your doctor if you have any active eye infections or if you are allergic to any medicines. You should also inform your doctor about any other eye conditions or treatments you are receiving. After the injection, avoid strenuous activity or swimming for a few days, as these could increase the risk of infection. Macugen 0.3mg Infusion is not recommended for use in people with certain serious eye infections or severe eye inflammation.
Your doctor or nurse will give you this medicine. Compassionately do not self-administer.
