Description:

Macsart CH 40 Tablet contains two medicines, both of which help to control high blood pressure. Lowering blood pressure helps to reduce your risk of having a heart attack or a stroke in the future.

You can take Macsart CH 40 Tablet with or without food. The dose will depend on your condition and how your respond to the medicine. Try to take it at the same time each day. It is important to keep taking this medicine until your doctor tells you not to. It contains a diuretic (water pill) and will make you urinate more so, it is best to avoid taking this medicine within four hours of going to bed. Use this medicine regularly to get the most benefit from it even if you feel well. High blood pressure does not usually have symptoms and if you stop taking it your risk of heart attack or stroke may increase.

Uses:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Macsart CH 40 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Directions For Use:

  • You have been prescribed Macsart CH 40 Tablet for the treatment of high blood pressure.
  • It can be taken with or without food.
  • Macsart CH 40 Tablet may cause dehydration. Drink plenty of fluids and inform your doctor if you develop extreme thirst, very dry mouth or muscle weakness.
  • It may cause dizziness. Get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position.
  • Use of Macsart CH 40 Tablet during pregnancy or breastfeeding is unsafe.

Side Effects:

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Warning & Precautions:

  • You have liver or kidney disease.

  • You have an increased level of potassium in the blood or are on any potassium supplements.
  • You are pregnant or planning a pregnancy, this medicine will be changed.
  • You are diabetic and on aliskiren, an anti-hypertensive medicine to control blood pressure.
