Lubistar 0.5% Eye Drop is a prescription medicine used to treat symptoms of dry eyes. It lubricates the eyes helps in maintaining the moisture of the eyes. This way it provides temporary relief from burning and discomfort caused by dry eyes. It also reduces redness and swelling of the eye.

Lubistar 0.5% Eye Drops contains Carboxymethylcellulose, which belongs to the group of medicines called Topical ophthalmic lubricants. It is used to treat dryness of the eye due to exposure to wind or sun and following a laser or cataract eye surgery. It is also used to protect the eyes from further irritation. The symptoms may include discomfort, irritation, burning and foreign body sensation in the eye etc.


Lubistar 0.5% Eye Drops is used to treat allergic and inflammatory conditions of the eye such as

  • Treats dryness of the eye
  • Treats eye dryness following a laser or cataract eye surgery

Directions For Use:

Always use Lubistar 0.5% Eye Drops as advised by your doctor. It is for ophthalmic use only. Instill a few drops of the medicine into the eye as advised by your doctor.

Side Effects:

  • Application site reactions (burning, irritation, itching and redness)
  • Blurred vision

Inform your doctor if you have a known allergy to any of the ingredients in this medicine or if you are taking any other medication. It is advised not to drive or operate heavy machinery immediately after using this medicine as it may cause temporary blurring of vision and may affect your ability to drive.
