Description:

Losakind-H Tablet is a combination of two medicines. It helps to control high blood pressure in different ways. If high blood pressure is not treated it can lead to heart attacks, strokes and kidney failure.

You can take Losakind-H Tablet with or without food. The dose will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. Try to take it at the same time each day. It is important to keep taking this medicine until your doctor tells you not to. It contains a diuretic (water pill) and will make you urinate more so, it is best to avoid taking this medicine within four hours of going to bed. Use this medicine regularly to get the most benefit from it even if you feel well. High blood pressure does not usually have symptoms and if you stop taking it your risk of heart attack or stroke may increase.

Uses:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Losakind-H Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Directions For Use:

  • You have been prescribed Losakind-H Tablet for the treatment of high blood pressure.
  • It can be taken with or without food.
  • Losakind-H Tablet may cause dehydration. Drink plenty of fluids and inform your doctor if you develop extreme thirst, very dry mouth or muscle weakness.
  • It may cause dizziness. Get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position. 
  • Use of Losakind-H Tablet during pregnancy or breastfeeding is unsafe.

Side Effects:

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

  • You have blocked arteries of your kidneys or recently had a kidney transplant or have only one functioning kidney.
  • You experience fainting and giddiness, especially after the first dose.
  • You are planning a pregnancy, this medicine will be changed.
  • You are facing problems with liver function and related organs-like cholestasis and biliary obstructive.
  • Your kidneys are not functioning correctly or you have underlying kidney disease like renal artery stenosis (Narrow kidney blood vessels).
  • You have been experiencing fluid losses within your body due to diarrhoea, vomiting, etc.
  • You have serious heart valve-related problems like congestive heart failure, aortic or mitral stenosis and ischaemic cardiopathy.

Keep this medicine in the container or the pack it came in, tightly closed. Store it according to the instructions mentioned on the pack or label. Dispose of the unused medicine. Make sure it is not consumed by pets, children and other people.

Yes, the use of Losakind-H Tablet can make you feel dizzy. This may occur when you suddenly rise up from lying or sitting position. To lower the chance of feeling dizzy or passing out, rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down.

Q. Can I use Losakind-H Tablet in pregnancy?
No, Losakind-H Tablet should be avoided in pregnancy. Its use can cause injury and death to the baby. If you conceive while using Losakind-H Tablet, stop using it and contact your doctor immediately. Your doctor will recommend you other ways to lower the blood pressure.
