Description:
Lorbriqua 25mg Tablet is used to treat adults with unresectable (unremovable), advanced, or recurrent forms of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). It works by inhibiting an enzyme called anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) and is given to patients who have an alteration in this enzyme.Furthermore, Lorbriqua 25mg Tablet is prescribed only to those patients who no longer respond to other ALK inhibitors, such as alectinib or ceritinib. Increaseitionally, it is also effective in treating ALK-positive NSCLC that has spread to the brain.
Take this medicine with or without food, but preferably at the same time each day. Depending on the condition and response to the treatment, the doctor may alter the dose or stop the treatment for a short time. Continue taking this medicine for as long as the doctor has prescribed, and do not stop suddenly.
Some common side effects of Lorbriqua 25mg Tablet include edema (swelling in arms, legs, hands, and feet), peripheral neuropathy (numbness and tingling feeling in joints, arms, and legs), and cognitive disorders (confusion, forgetfulness, and lack of concentration or attention). It may also cause breathlessness, fatigue, weight gain, joint pain, mood changes, and diarrhea. Consult the doctor if any of these side effects are worrisome or worsen. They may adjust the medicine dose and suggest ways to manage them.
Let the doctor know if you have any medical conditions, such as kidney or heart disease, depression, seizures, problems with the heartbeat, or breathing problems.
