Description:

Lemolate Plus Tablet is a combination medicine used in the treatment of common cold symptoms. It provides relief from symptoms such as runny or blocked nose, sneezing, sore throat, cough, body ache and mild fever, and low-grade fever.

Lemolate Plus Tablet can be taken with or without food. The dose and duration will depend on what you are taking it for and how well it helps your symptoms. You should keep taking the medicine even if you feel better until the doctor says it is alright to stop using it.


Using this medicine may cause nausea, vomiting, nervousness, and increased blood pressure. If you experience any such side effects that do not go away or get worse, you should let your doctor know. Your doctor may be able to suggest ways of preventing or reducing the symptoms. In general, you should try to use the smallest amount necessary to control your symptoms.


Earlier using the medicine, you should tell your doctor if you have any other medical conditions or disorders. It may also affect, or be affected by, some other medicines you are using, so let your doctor know all the other medicines you are taking. Avoid drinking too many caffeine-containing drinks (e.g., tea, coffee, and caffeine-containing canned drinks). Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctors first before using the medicine.

Directions For Use:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Lemolate Plus Tablet may be taken with or without food.
Avoid Lemolate Plus Tablet with caffeine and chocolate as well as food containing caffeine and chocolate such as tea leaves, cocoa beans.

Side Effects:

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Pregnancy

Breast feeding

Lemolate Plus Tablet may be unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby. It should be used only if the expected benefit outweighs the potential risk. Please consult your doctor.
Driving

Lemolate Plus Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment may be needed.

Are there any food items which need to be avoided while taking Lemolate Plus Tablet?

Lemolate Plus Tablet contains caffeine. So, it is preferable to avoid medicines or food that contain caffeine as well. Foods like coffee, tea, cola drinks and chocolate should be avoided as they may add to your total caffeine intake.

Will Lemolate Plus Tablet be more effective if taken in more than recommended dose?

No, taking a higher than the recommended dose may not be more effective, rather it may increase the chances of having some serious side effects and toxicity. If you experience increased severity of your symptoms that are not relieved by the recommended doses, please consult your doctor for re-evaluation.

Are there any contraindications associated with use of this drug?

Affirmative, use of Lemolate Plus Tablet should be avoided if you have closed angle glaucoma, diabetes, overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism), any underlying serious heart condition or cardiovascular disorder. However, it can be taken if your doctor is aware of your conditions and advises you to take it. The use of Lemolate Plus Tablet should also be avoided if you are taking beta-blocking drugs and antidepressant drugs. Antidepressant drugs, called monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), can include phenelzine and isocarboxazid or tricyclic antidepressants like imipramine and amitriptyline.

Can the use of Lemolate Plus Tablet cause damage to liver?

Lemolate Plus Tablet contains Paracetamol. This medicine is known to cause harm to the liver especially when taken in the doses above the recommended level. Also, avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine, as it may further increase your risk of liver damage. Employ of this medicine should preferably be avoided in patients with underlying liver disease. Contact your doctor immediately if you notice any early signs and symptoms of liver damage. The symptoms may include fever, rash, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, stomach pain, dark urine, yellow skin or eyes and abnormal live enzymes.

What are the instructions for storage and disposal of Lemolate Plus Tablet?

Retain this medicine in the container or the pack it came in, tightly closed. Store it according to the instructions mentioned on the pack or label. Dispose of the unused medicine. Make sure it is not consumed by pets, children and other people.
