Description:

Kemadrin 5mg Tablet is a prescription medicine used in the treatment of Parkinson's disease and drug-induced abnormal movements. It helps by improving muscle control and reducing the stiffness of the muscles so that they can move easily.

Kemadrin 5mg Tablet should be taken with food as it reduces the side effects with this medicine. It should be taken at the same time each day, this helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor and if you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. This medication mustn't be stopped suddenly without talking to the doctor as it may result in a worsening of symptoms.

Some common side effects of this medicine include dilation of the pupil, blurring of vision, lightheadedness, nausea, vomiting, epigastric pain, and constipation. It also causes dizziness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Dry mouth may occur commonly while using this medicine so, try to do frequent mouth rinses, maintain good oral hygiene, and increase water intake. Avoid wearing contact lenses as it may cause dry eyes as well. It is important to inform your doctor if you suffer from glaucoma or have trouble passing urine.

Earlier using Kemadrin 5mg Tablet, you should tell your doctor if you've ever had heart problems, problems with passing urine, liver or kidney disease. What should I avoid while taking Kemadrin 5mg Tablet?

Avoid driving or operating machines if Kemadrin 5mg Tablet causes blurred vision or makes you feel dizzy, confused or disorientated. You should also avoid taking alcohol as it may increase your drowsiness. Taking this medicine may affect your body’s ability to regulate its temperature. As a result, your body temperature may rise more than normal. So, you should also avoid areas with high humidity and high temperature.

Who should not take Kemadrin 5mg Tablet?

Tolerants who are allergic to Kemadrin 5mg Tablet or any of the other ingredients of this medicine should not take Kemadrin 5mg Tablet. This medicine should be avoided in cases of glaucoma (increased pressure in the eye) in patients who have a blockage in the intestine (gut). In addition, patients who are facing difficulty, or are unable to, pass urine and are not currently receiving any form of treatment for this, should avoid taking Kemadrin 5mg Tablet.

How can I identify overdose symptoms?

In case of an overdose, you may experience fast heartbeat, agitation, restlessness, confusion, insomnia (severe inability to sleep), excitement (although occasionally people may feel anxious and aggressive), and disorientation. If eyes are exposed to light then the pupils in the eye may not open or close and hallucinations (seeing or hearing things that are not real) may also occur. In severe cases, you may feel very sleepy, fall into unconsciousness, or into a coma. If you experience any such symptoms contact your doctor or seek immediate help from the nearest hospital emergency department.

How long does Kemadrin 5mg Tablet take to work?

After an hour of starting Kemadrin 5mg Tablet most people start experiencing the effects. However, the medicine may take some time for showing full benefits. Consult your doctor if you do not see improvement.

Can I stop taking Kemadrin 5mg Tablet?

No, you should not stop taking Kemadrin 5mg Tablet suddenly as rebound parkinsonian symptoms may occur. Take the medicine as long as symptoms are there. Your doctor will decide the probable duration required for the medicine.
