FAQs:

What is K to 7 Softgel Capsule used for?

K to 7 Softgel Capsule is used to treat calcium deficiency. It works by increasing vitamin D levels in the body, which helps improve calcium absorption and raise calcium levels in the blood. It also helps in the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis.

Who should not take K to 7 Softgel Capsule?

Individuals should not take K to 7 Softgel Capsule if they have hypercalcemia (too much calcium in the blood), vitamin D toxicity (too much vitamin D in the body), or if they are on blood thinners like warfarin (because vitamin K2 can block warfarin’s effect).

What serious warning signs should I watch for during K to 7 Softgel Capsule treatment?

Reach out to your doctor immediately if you develop signs of high calcium, such as severe nausea, vomiting, belly pain, constipation, extreme thirst, frequent urination, confusion, unusual tiredness or weakness, or an uneven heartbeat (abnormal heart rhythm).

Can K to 7 Softgel Capsule affect my kidneys?

Affirmative. Too much K to 7 Softgel Capsule for a long time can cause kidney stones (hard mineral lumps) or calcium build‑up in the kidneys (nephrocalcinosis). Doctors may check your blood and urine calcium regularly.

Is it safe to take K to 7 Softgel Capsule if I have kidney problems or I am on dialysis?

You will need close monitoring while taking K to 7 Softgel Capsule if you have kidney problems or are on dialysis. Calcitriol (active vitamin D) in this medicine can raise phosphorus levels, so doctors may add phosphate binders (medicines that trap phosphorus) and perform regular blood tests to keep levels safe.

Can children or older adults take K to 7 Softgel Capsule?

K to 7 Softgel Capsule has not been proven safe or effective in children. Older adults (seniors) often start at the lower dose range because they may have weaker kidneys, liver, or heart, and they may take several other medicines.
