Description:

Iviglob EX 5gm Injection is used to strengthen the body's natural immune system to lower the risk of infection in persons with weakened immune system. It is made from healthy human blood that has a high level of certain defensive substances (antibodies), which help fight infections.

Iviglob EX 5gm Injection has been shown to be effective in preventing infections in bone marrow transplant patients more than 20 years of age in the first 100 days post-transplant. It is used in the treatment of patients where antibody-forming capacity is severely impaired thereby subjecting them to a greater risk of infections. Iviglob EX 5gm Injection gives you antibodies that your body is not making on its own so you can fight infections. Both children and adults can have this therapy. It is administered as an injection. Your doctor will monitor you for some time after the administration of Iviglob EX 5gm Injection to check for any side effects.

Iviglob EX 5gm Injection may sometimes cause side effects like back pain, chills, flushing (sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck, and trunk), dizziness, headache, nausea, decreased blood pressure, and muscle pain. If you get any of these, or other side effects, or just feel unwell, you should tell your doctor. There may be ways of preventing or reducing these effects.

Earlier using it, you should tell your doctor if you have any problems with blood clotting and if you have recently had, or plan to have, a vaccination. It is not known whether this medicine is completely safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding so please take advice from your doctor.

Side Effects:

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Affirmative, Iviglob EX 5gm Injection can cause kidney damage but not in everyone. Tolerants having a pre-existing kidney problem, diabetes and hypovolemia (a decrease in the volume of circulating blood) are at risk of developing kidney failure. Increaseitionally, patients who are overweight, over 65 years of age and who are using medicines that can cause kidney damage are also at risk of developing kidney failure. Also, Iviglob EX 5gm Injection which has sucrose, fructose or maltose as an ingredient in it is more likely to cause kidney damage.

No, Iviglob EX 5gm Injection does not cause hair loss. If you experience hair loss, it might be due to some other underlying problem. Please consult your doctor if it bothers you.
