Uses:

• Telmisartan is used in the treatment of high blood pressure.
• Telmisartan is also used to decrease the chance of heart attack, stroke, or death in people 55 years of age or older who are at high risk for cardiovascular disease.
• Telmisartan is in a class of medications called angiotensin II receptor antagonists.
• It works by blocking the action of certain natural substances that tighten the blood vessels, allowing the blood to flow more smoothly and the heart to pump more efficiently.
• Amlodipine is used with or without other medications to treat high blood pressure. Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems.
• Amlodipine belongs to a class of drugs known as calcium channel blockers. It works by relaxing blood vessels so blood can flow more easily.
• Amlodipine is used alone or in combination with other medications to treat high blood pressure and chest pain (angina).

Directions For Use:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Hyten-TAM Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

If you accidentally take too much of  Hyten -TAM  Tablet, you may experience symptoms such as low blood pressure, dizziness, lightheadedness, weakness, vomiting and rapid heartbeat. However, in some cases slow heartbeat, reduced kidney function including kidney failure (e.g., reduced urine output) have also been reported. If you experience any of such symptoms contact your doctor immediately and seek medical help.

Q. Can I come off Hyten -TAM  Tablet when my blood pressure is under control or normal?
Even if your blood pressure is successfully lowered by this medicine, it is advised to continue your medication. If you stop taking  Hyten -TAM  Tablet, your blood pressure could rise back up again. Blood pressure lowering medicines only help to control your condition but do not cure it. You will probably need to take them for the rest of your life. Remember, by keeping your blood pressure controlled you are reducing your risk of having a heart attack or stroke.

Q. What happens if I forget to take  Hyten -TAM  Tablet?
If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is close to the time of your next dose, skip the missed one and take the next scheduled dose.
