Hyocimax-S Injection 1ml is used for pain relief. It relieves cramps or spasms of the stomach, intestines and bladder. It is also used to treat stomach and intestinal disorders, including peptic ulcer and irritable bowel syndrome.
Hyocimax-S Injection 1ml is given as an injection into veins, muscle or skin by health care professionals. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen.
Constipation, dryness in the mouth and headache are some common side effects of this medicine. Most of these usually go away within a short time. If you are bothered by them or they go on for longer, talk to your doctor or nurse. It is advisable to stay hydrated or drink plenty of fluids to overcome mouth dryness and headache. You should not drive if this medicine makes you feel dizzy.
Earlier taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have a history of liver or kidney disease or have a history of ulcerative colitis. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor before taking this medicine. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by, this medicine.
Your doctor or nurse will give you this medicine. Compassionately do not self administer.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if youβre worried about them

Alcohol
UNSAFE
Do not drink alcohol while you are taking this medicine. Hyocimax-S Injection 1ml may cause excessive drowsiness when taken with alcohol.
Pregnancy

The safety of Hyocimax-S Injection 1ml during pregnancy has not been established. There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women, and animal data on reproductive toxicity are insufficient. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing.
Breast feeding
CAUTION
Hyocimax-S Injection 1ml should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from the body.

Can I take Imodium/ Bentyl/ Percocet with Hyocimax-S Injection 1ml?
Concomitant use of Hyocimax-S Injection 1ml with Imodium (loperamide), Bentyl (dicyclomine) and Percocet (acetaminophen + oxycodone) can cause harmful drug interactions and should be avoided. Please inform your doctor about all medication you are currently taking to avoid any harmful drug interaction
Does Hyocimax-S Injection 1ml cause or stop diarrhea?
Treatment with Hyocimax-S Injection 1ml may be helpful in controlling diarrhea associated with bowel spams; however, it can aggravate constipation. Contact your doctor immediately if you experience diarrhea as a side effect of Hyocimax-S Injection 1ml treatment
Does Hyocimax-S Injection 1ml help with gas/ nausea?
Hyocimax-S Injection 1ml may provide relief from gas or nausea if they are symptoms of intestinal bowel syndrome or other gastrointestinal problems for which Hyocimax-S Injection 1ml is given as a treatment. Nausea is also a common side effect of Hyocimax-S Injection 1ml treatment
