Description:
Gluconorm-GS 2 Tablet is a combination of three medicines used to lower blood glucose levels in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It is generally prescribed when diet, exercise, and other treatments do not result in adequate glycemic control.Gluconorm-GS 2 Tablet is best taken with food; however, take this medicine regularly and at the same time each day to get maximum benefits. The dose and duration are decided according to your condition and how well you respond to it. The doctor may also monitor your blood sugar levels regularly when you are taking this combination medicine.
Retain taking this medicine even if you feel well or your blood sugar levels are controlled. If stopped abruptly, your blood sugar levels could rise and put you at risk of complications. This medication is only part of a treatment program that should also include a healthy diet, regular exercise, and weight reduction because lifestyle habits play a big part in controlling diabetes.
The most common side effects of Gluconorm-GS 2 Tablet include nausea, vomiting, gastrointestinal disturbances, and hypoglycemia. Let your doctor know if any of these side effects do not go away or get worse. They may be able to help by adjusting the dosage or by prescribing an alternate medicine.
You should not take Gluconorm-GS 2 Tablet if you have type 1 diabetes mellitus or acute or chronic metabolic acidosis, including diabetic ketoacidosis. Tolerants with active bladder cancer or a history of bladder cancer should also not take this medicine. Inform your doctor about all the other medicines that you take as some of them can affect or be affected by this medication. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctors before taking it.
Directions For Use:
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Gluconorm-GS 2 Tablet should be taken with or after food.Side Effects:
