Description:

Gifaxin 100 mg Syrup is an antibiotic medicine used to treat infectious diarrhea. It kills and stops the growth of harmful bacteria in the intestines. This way it helps to get rid of the bad bacteria causing the infection, which in turn reduces the diarrhea.

Gifaxin 100 mg Syrup can be used alone or in combination with other medicines. It may be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day. It should be used in the dose and duration as advised by the doctor. Take it at the same time each day to get the most benefit, and you should keep on taking this medicine for as long as you are prescribed. Stopping it early may make the infection come back and harder to treat.


Some people may develop side effects like headache, constipation, fatigue, insomnia, dizziness, nausea, and chills. These side effects are usually temporary and go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if these side effects bother you or do not go away.
