Fentiza Vaginal Capsule belongs to a group of medicines called antifungals. It works by stopping the growth of fungus and is used to treat infections of the vagina. It kills fungi by destroying the fungal cell membrane.
Fentiza Vaginal Capsule is for external use only. You should use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. It is best to use it at night for better results. Do not use the medicine for longer than your doctor has told you to, and let him or her know if your condition does not improve after 2 to 4 weeks of treatment. The affected area should be clean before using the medicine. You must wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying this medicine. Do not stop using it until you have finished the complete course, even when you feel better.
Some of the common side effects include vaginal burning sensation, itching, and irritation. If the side effects bother you or do not go away, let your doctor know. It makes condoms and diaphragms less effective. Ask your doctor about a suitable birth control method.
It is not likely that other medicines you take by mouth or injection will affect the way it works, but talk to your doctor before using it if you have used a similar medicine before and had an allergic reaction. This medicine should only be used if it is needed during pregnancy.
