Description:

Eryacne Gel is an antibiotic used to treat acne (pimples) and some bacterial skin infections. It helps to reduce the number of pimples. This medicine stops the bacteria from growing, which helps to resolve your symptoms.

Eryacne Gel is meant for external use only. It should be applied only to the affected area of the skin as per the dosage and schedule prescribed by your doctor. In order to get the most benefit, apply it regularly and preferably at a fixed time each day. Do not use larger amounts or apply it more often or for a longer duration than directed. This will only increase the risk of side effects. You may have to use it for a long time before your acne starts to improve. Be patient and keep using it every day.

This medicine is generally safe to use with minimal side effects such as peeling of the skin, redness, dry skin, irritation, itching, stinging, and burning sensation. Consult your doctor if these persist or if your condition does not improve.

Avoid any contact with your eyes, nose, or mouth. Rinse it off with water if you accidentally get the medicine in these areas. Earlier using it, inform your doctor if you have any previous history of allergy to it or any other medicine. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before using it.

Directions For Use:

This medicine is for external use only. Employ it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Immaculate and dry the affected area and apply the gel. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.

FAQs:

How should Eryacne Gel be applied?

Eryacne Gel should be applied twice daily. It should be applied to a dry, clean face to lessen the possibility of irritation. Spread it gently and uniformly in a thin layer but you need not rub it in.

What is Eryacne Gel used for?

Eryacne Gel is used for treatment of acne vulgaris also known as pimples or spots. It is used to reduce the growth of bacteria which cause acne. It can also be used to treat skin infections.

What precautions need to be followed while applying Eryacne Gel?

Eryacne Gel should be applied cautiously. It should not come into contact with the eyes, lips, or the lining of the mouth or nose. Do not apply to broken skin. If accidental contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water. Be careful not to use cosmetic products containing alcohol, irritant, or medicated soaps, as these may cause irritation or drying effects.

How long does it take for Eryacne Gel to work for acne?

Successful treatment of acne may take several weeks or even months. The normal treatment time is 10 to 12 weeks. Consult your doctor, if you do not see improvement at the end of the prescribed course of treatment.

If Eryacne Gel does not help me with acne, can I use clindamycin?

If you have already used Eryacne Gel, antibiotics of the same class (macrolides), clindamycin and lincomycin may also not work. This could be because of drug resistance. In this, the bacteria gets modified in your body and medicines may not be able to treat the new modified form.

How should Eryacne Gel be stored?

Store it in a cool dry place below 25 degrees centigrade. Some of the preparations may contain alcohol, which are flammable, and therefore should be kept away from high temperatures.

What if I forget to apply Eryacne Gel?

Try not to forget to use Eryacne Gel, as missing an application will slow down the healing process. However, if you have missed an application, use Eryacne Gel as soon as you remember, but a gap of about three hours is required before you use it again.
