Description:

Equirest M Tablet is a combination medicine used in the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome. It relieves cramps, pain and bloating. It works by relaxing the muscles of the stomach or intestines and stops sudden muscle contractions.

Equirest M Tablet can be taken with or without food. However, it is advised to take it at the same time each day as this helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body. Take this medicine in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. If you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember. Finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. It is important to not stop this medicine suddenly without talking to the doctor.

Some common side effects of this medicine include nausea, constipation, diarrhea, depression, and confusion. It may also cause dizziness and sleepiness. So, do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. It is advisable to drink plenty of fluids while taking this medicine.

Your doctor should also know about all other medicines you are taking as many of these may make this medicine less effective or change the way it works. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding.
