Can Emzumab Injection be used for sudden asthma attacks or severe allergic reactions?

No. Emzumab Injection is not a rescue medicine. It does not treat sudden asthma attacks, status asthmaticus, or emergency allergic reactions like anaphylaxis. You will still need a rescue inhaler or other crucial medicines for emergencies.

Who should not receive Emzumab Injection?

People should not receive Emzumab Injection if they are allergic to omalizumab or any ingredient in the medicine. Severe allergic reactions can occur, even after long-term use.

Affirmative. Emzumab Injection may cause serious allergic reactions (anaphylaxis), which can be life-threatening. It can happen right after the first dose or even more than a year after starting treatment. Signs include swelling of the throat or tongue, trouble breathing, dizziness, or fainting. Emergency medical care is needed in these cases.
